Work Shenanigans

I had to go allll the way to Northlake to complete our required CPR training. I hate having to drive all that way for stuff, but since Dad also had to go i made him drive. This is a crappy cell phone pic of him giving CPR. During the part where you're supposed to shake the victim and ask "Are you ok?" to assess responsiveness he instead slapped the dummy across the face. Here he's smothering the dummy with a protective thingy. They're to protect the CPR giver from getting diseases. But since you wouldn't randomly have these laying around when someone collapses (or the time to get one if you did) of course my dad has to ask: "So if it's a known AIDS patient how do i decide which tech gets to do the breathing part?"

Friday night (July 3rd) was a slow day at work because the doctors were closed all day and people were out of town. Amanda and I made the best of it by watching Wild Hogs on her laptop. The first and last time we'll ever be slow enough to do that...

And finally we have to have relaxation time! Amanda comes over every Monday and brings pizza and we watch the Bachelorette. This week she won over the kitties too. Reality TV competitions are so much more fun to watch with company.

  1. How much do you have to pay Amanda to be your friend?

  2. $5 a week. It's a pretty sweet deal.
