Hardwood Floors

I helped Jenn move a bunch of stuff to her basement. (that counts as my exercise for the day, right??) Apparently some lady is coming to give her an estimate on hardwood floors. She showed me the samples and she's getting bamboo flooring. I've never heard of bamboo hardwood floors, but the samples looked nice. It kinda looked similar to laminate hardwood to me....i dunno if that's just the samples or if it's just simply that i don't know what i'm talking about. Anyway, i helped Mom and Grandmom pick out their hardwood floors and i don't remember them looking like that. I'm excited for Jenn, she's wanted hardwood for a long time. Anyone know the pros/cons/differences of bamboo? I know it's better for the environment but that's about it.
